As the Eastern area Service grew and with a number of requests coming from places such as Abakaliki, Ogoja, Nsukka, Owerri, Umuahia, Awka, Onitsha, etc, the need for an office space to coordinate the DELES training in the Eastern part became necessary. With the approval of the Southern Zonal Coordinating Committee, Sr. Elfrida Lewis, SND acquired an office space in CIDJAP's new Secretariat in 1989.

Once a part-time office, it became a daily functioning one as Aigbiremhon Joe was posted from Lagos office as Area manager in November 1996, to take over from Sr. Elfrida, SND who travelled back to Britain on retirement.
