In 1987, two Zones - North and South, were carved out of DELES Programme Nigeria from the only office then in Lagos. Mr. Steve Adeleye offered to move up to Jos after an informal meeting held between him, Sr. Berne and Fr. Donal Dorr as a result of an evaluative discussion at the National Coordinating Council meetings of December 1987 and June 1988.

At this time, Yola Diocese had already started organizing DELES and there was a rapid expansion and growth of the Programme in the Northern parts of Nigeria.

From the two rooms located at the Centre for Renewal (C.F.R) Jos that served as the DELES Resource Centre (DRC, Jos), Northern Zone, DELES Programme Nigeria subsequently acquired a Deles House located at No. 2 Utan lane, off Zaria road, Jos - Property No. BP481 of Ministry of Lands and Survey, Jos and rented to the 'The Little Lamb School', Jos.
